What is the meaning of “The Gospel”?

Rom 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Messiah.

1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Pro 25:25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

We can see here that the Gospel means Good News!

The word Gospel here is Strongs # G1161, Good tidings, To show, to declare, to evangelize.
In Hebrew the Strongs # is H8052, Something heard, and announcement, doctrine, news,
Report, tidings.

So we see that in both the New and Old Testament the word for Gospel is Good News!

Many have mistakenly thought that the Gospel was just what Yeshua preached, leading many to believe that the Old covenant and the New covenant are opposite each other. Many believe that the God of the Old testament was an angry God and the God in the New Testament is a loving God. How very sad! The word says:

Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Many believe that Yahuah has changed his mind about his Word, the TORAH!

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Yahuah is very serious about his word!

Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

The Word of Yah has been added to or taken away by many over time! As we see HE NEVER CHANGES HIS MIND!!

Psa 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Now we do see however, that when Yeshua spoke of the Gospel of the Kingdom he was not making the word of GOD VOID. There was no New Testament at the time he spoke so he was absolutely THE TORAH MADE FLESH! He was RE-NEWING the Covenant in his Blood. He RATIFIED it! He sealed the WHOLE GOOD NEWS, the GOSPEL by his sacrifice. This means it is LAW! Yeshua did not preach another gospel, he re-newed the original. His blood took away the penalty of sinning against the law, which is the LAW of SIN and DEATH, not the LAW!

2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Messiah, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Messiah unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Messiah.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Messiah.
Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yehshua Messiah.

Certainly Paul did not change Yah’s word to fit another Gospel! He Fully preached it! Fully preach in the Greek text is PLEAROO, meaning to fully teach! NOT CHANGE!

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

We see here that many in the Christian world have twisted Pauls words to mean that the Law was done away with! GOD forbid!

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Clearly Paul was speaking of the Law of sin and death! We were made free from the Law of sin and Death! There is teaching that Paul taught that the Law, the commandments were done away with, but he actually established it!

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

So now we surely see that the Commandments and the Feasts of Yahuah are still the GOOD NEWS today! THE GOSPEL!

Heb 13:8 Yeshua Messiah, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS, THE GOSPEL!
