As In the Days of Noah

As In the Days of Noah

What can we learn from the story of Noah, that is applicable to life today? Let’s dig deep into his story and find out what we can. The story of Noah starts in Genesis 5 and goes until the end of Genesis 10. Noah is the tenth generation from Adam, as shown in Genesis 5. You may ask yourself, then why in 2 Peter 2:5 does it say 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;? Now, Noah is actually the tenth generation. Was Peter wrong? Absolutely not. Peter calls him a preacher of righteousness, what does he mean by this? Well there is the Melchisedec priesthood mentioned in Genesis and Hebrews which translates to king priest, that is passed down from generation to generation when the previous Melchisedec passes away. So, looking back at Genesis 5 we see that Enoch is taken up before his father passes and Lamech dies before his father does, making Noah the eighth Melchisedec or eighth person as Peter says. This line reaches all the way to YAHUSHA who is our Melchisedec forever. For more information on the Melchisedec priesthood please see more of the teachings on our website restoringthelatterhouse.net

Now, Noah was a righteous man in the middle of a wicked world, where wars and bloodshed were common place. The Watchers who fell from heaven were mating with the daughters of men and giving birth to giants, and they were teaching men forbidden knowledge. So YAHUAH decided that he needed to cleanse the world and start anew with Noah and his family. So he speaks to Noah and tells him to prepare and build an ark. Genesis 6:14-16 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make

in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. YAHUAH gave Noah specific instructions on how to build the ark. If he wouldn’t have listened the ark may not have fit all the animals and supplies inside of it, or it might have leaked or even

sank in the flood. But, because he listened to YAHUAH everything went as YAHUAH planned. We need to remember to do exactly as the Father tells us to do, and don’t do it the way we think it should be done, because it is His plan not ours. According to the book of Jasher it took Noah five years to build the ark being ridiculed by those in the world along the way. So, don’t stop based on what those around you say, if you’re

doing YAHUAH’S work you are on the path of righteousness. Don’t turn to the left or to

the right.

There are those out there that might say that the flood was an extreme measure but according to Jasher 5:5-11 5 And all who followed the Lord died in those days, before they saw the evil which God declared to do upon earth. 6 And after the lapse of many years, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the life of Noah, when all those men, who followed the Lord had died away from amongst the sons of men, and only Methuselah was then left, God said unto Noah and Methuselah, saying, 7 Speak ye, and proclaim to the sons of men, saying, Thus saith the Lord, return from your evil ways and forsake your works, and the Lord will repent of the evil that he declared to do to you, so that it shall not come to pass. 8 For thus saith the Lord, Behold I give you a period of one hundred and twenty years; if you will turn to me and forsake your evil ways, then will I also turn away from the evil which I told you, and it shall not exist, saith the Lord. 9 And Noah and Methuselah spoke all the words of the Lord to the sons

of men, day after day, constantly speaking to them. 10 But the sons of men would not hearken to them, nor incline their ears to their words, and they were stiffnecked. 11 And the Lord granted them a period of one hundred and twenty years, saying, If they will return, then will God repent of the evil, so as not to destroy the earth. The Father gave them one hundred twenty years to repent, and they just laughed at Noah and Methuselah and continued in their evil ways. So, they had their chance, and not a single one of them repented in over a century. Even with Noah and Methuselah speaking the word of YAHUAH day after day constantly. Another connection I see in this passage is they were two witnesses to the world just as there will be two witnesses to come. Revelation 11:3-4 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Now in it says Genesis 7:1-5 1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. 2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. 3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. 4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. 5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. So, Noah knew which animals were clean and which were unclean, well before they were listed in Leviticus 11. So it must have been known from the beginning what meat was clean and unclean. John 1:1-3 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. So, if the Word,

YAHUSHA, made everything including the clean and unclean animals, why would he change it in the future? He wouldn’t have. Hence, that is why he said in Matthew 5:18 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth have not passed yet, so neither has the clean and unclean laws.

Noah was told by YAHUAH in Genesis 7:1-5 to enter the ark for in seven days the flood will start, and that Noah did as he was commanded. Therefore, we must listen to YAHUAH’S warnings and commands and not delay for it may happen that same night like in the case of Lot in Genesis 19, or in seven days like Noah, or it could even be years out, only YAHUAH knows what is to happen. Now, when they entered into the ark with his family Genesis 7:16-18 16 And they that went in, went in male and

female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in. 17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. YAHUAH shut the door, not Noah because it says in Revelation 3:7 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key

of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; and John 10:9 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. So, you see Noah went in through the door of the ark and was saved, just as we go through the door into our ark, YAHUSHA, for our salvation.

As we can see, Noah and his family were saved from the flood, but it wasn’t easy for any of them. They still went through tribulation, for they were being tossed and turned about in the ark for forty days and nights of rain and one hundred fifty days of being afloat in the waves. Genesis 8:1-4 1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; 2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; 3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated. 4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. But, they were still not able to leave the ark until over a year was completed. Genesis 8:14-16 14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried. 15 And God spake unto Noah, saying, 16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee. Now we must be aware that we will have to go through some of the upcoming tribulation just as Noah had to. There will be no pre-tribulation rapture. We will be tested by the Father in this way, so be prepared just like in the parable of the 10 virgins found in Matthew 25:1-13 1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. If you think Noah wasn’t prepared, you are sorely mistaken. Please prepare both physically and spiritually for what is to come upon the earth.

Now after Noah and his family had left the ark and were on dry land YAHUAH made a covenant with them Genesis 9:9-17 9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between

God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. 17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. He promised to never again destroy earth again by a flood, no matter what man does, and he sealed it with a rainbow. This does not mean that the day of YAHUAH’S wrath will never come; it will come, just not in the form of a flood, and some will survive into the days when Satan is bound for a thousand years.

Revelation 20:1-3 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Unlike the flood that destroyed all but Noah and his family and the animals on the ark.

I beseech you to study the items presented in this teaching for yourselves, don’t just take my word for it. Please follow the commandments of YAHUAH, and have faith in YAHUSHA, brothers and sisters love one another, and the Father. Also, when you see a rainbow remember YAHUAH’S mercy and the lessons we can learn from Noah. For these lessons are important for us today. For it is written in Matthew 24:37-39 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
