THE THIRD DAY
In this brief teaching we will take a look at the way Yahuah (GOD) THINKS. To know Him is to know and understand His ways and understand His times and seasons. We are admonished to seek and find!
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Yahuah wants us to see as HE sees and understand as HE understands. How can we do this? Simply by digging into his word and asking the Spirit of TRUTH to guide us into the TRUTH!
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Now, when we search for the understanding of his word, we will have to search for it in the understanding as it was written. We need to think from a Hebrew understanding. Yahusha spoke Hebrew not English, so it is needful to search out what was spoken by him.
His word gives us the answers if we read it according to the way HE thinks. For instance:
Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ecc 1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
History repeats! It is Circular! What WAS, WILL be!
The old saying“ if you don’t know history, you will be doomed to repeat it” applies to this understanding.
If we search the scriptures we will find this to be true!
We want to examine the 3RD day according to Scripture and see what was, will be. Again, we need to think as Yah thinks not with our western mindset. Here are some scriptures that we will look at and see how “what was will be”!
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
From this perspective we can understand what is to come in the future. Although it will be in a different way, it will always produce the same effect.
Exo 19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
Exo 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Now let’s look in the New Testament and see a repeat of the same thing.
Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Amazing! If we understand that 1,000 yrs. are as 1 day, we can count the days, or the years since Yahusha, his Greek name Jesus, has been in heaven. It has been 2,000 yrs., 2 days! Let’s count from creation.
2,000 yrs. from Adam to Moses
2,000 yrs. from Moses to Yahusha
2,000 yrs. from Yahusha to now
1,000 yrs. the Millennial Reign =7,000 yrs.
It is at the end of the 1,000 yr. Reign of Messiah Yahusha that He then turns the Kingdom back to the Father, YAHUAH, and a NEW heaven and a NEW earth come down from heaven.
So where does that put us today? We are near the END of the 6th day.
2,000 yrs. from Yahusha to now, and the 1,000 yr. Reign = 3,000 yrs. = 3 days in Yahuah’s way of counting! 3DAYS! History repeats!
Let’s look at some similarities in Scripture as to “what was, will be”.
Mat 17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Yahusha (Jesus) said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
Mat 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
Gen 42:15 Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.
Gen 42:16 Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
Gen 42:17 And he put them all together into ward three days.
Gen 42:18 And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:
Gen 22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
Joh 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Yahusha (Jesus), was there:
Joh 2:2 And both Yahusha (Jesus) was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
1Sa 20:5 And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.
Exo 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
Gen 31:20 And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
Gen 31:21 So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.
Gen 31:22 And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled
What we see here is a pattern as to how the third day is a significant number as it REPEATS MANY times over!
Hos 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Hos 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Hos 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Here is the question?
If according to Scripture and according to the way Yahuah considers time, and 2,000 yrs. or 2 days have passed since Yahusha Messiah ascended, at present, what day are we approaching? If you answered the 3rd day, you have come into agreement with the way HE thinks.
If we continue to search out HIS understanding, we will be considered WISE VIRGINS!
Pro 25:2 It is the glory of YAH “God” to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
